Football and Volleyball Players Receive All-District Honors

Members of the Lady Lions volleyball team and Lions football team recently received All-District Honors.

Athletes receiving All-District Honors for the 2009 volleyball season include Morgan Bloyed (1st team All-District), Meghan Litchfield (2nd team All-District), Emelie Kilgore (Honorable Mention), Shanterria Riley (Honorable Mention) and Maygan Bloyed (Honorable Mention).

Receiving Academic All-District Honors in volleyball were Maygan Bloyed, Morgan Bloyed, Madelyn Crabtree, Twhynesha Holmes, Hannah Johnson, Heather Johnson, Emelie Kilgore, Meghan Litchfield, Erika Patterson and Shanterria Riley.

The 2009 Varsity Football All-District honors include Alton Dennis (2nd team All-District Offense, Quarterback), Jarvis Brunner (2nd team All-District Offense, Tight End), Colton Reed (2nd team All-District Offense, Offense Tackle), Dakieston Williams (2nd team All-District Offense, Running Back), Manon Steward (1st team All-District Defense, Defensive End), Ezekiel Prado (1st team All-District Defense, Inside Linebacker), Tristian Farley (1st team All-District Defense, Offensive Linebacker), Desjuan Morgan (2nd team All-District, Offensive Linebacker), Dominique Mitchell (2nd team All-District, Cornerback) and Cobbie Johnson (2nd team All-District, Safety, Return Specialist).

Also receiving Honorable Mention were Justin Honeycutt (Offense, Offensive Tackle), Devonte Green (Offense, Wide Receiver), Dejoun Sheppard (Offense, Wide Receiver) and Ladarian Green (Offense, Cornerback).
