Lady Lions in the Heat of District Play

With 11 games, 6 tournaments, and plenty of practice and determination, the GHS Lady Lions are having an exciting season.

The Lady Lions district home opener against Royse City was a win.  The girls rallied from a 2-1 deficit in games to defeat the Royse City Lady Bulldogs, 25-7, 23-25, 22-25, 25-12, and 15-11.

The Lady Lions next home game was against Newman Smith, also a win.  They squared their district record 2-2 with a 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21 victory.

The most recent home game against R.L. Turner made them 3-3 with scores of 22-25, 24-26, 25-9, 25-19, and 15-13.  With three home district wins the Lady Lions are on pace to challenge a heavy handed district.
