How
about a little luck? How about accepting
a challenge?
According to Asian folklore, 1,000 paper
origami cranes will bring good luck and make a
person's wish come true. A collection of
1,000 cranes can grant wishes to cure
illnesses and injuries or to ensure a long
life.
If a
journey of a 1,000 miles begins with a single
step, then the 1,000 origami crane project is
well on its way to completing the walk.

To
ensure meeting the goal of 1,000 cranes, Mrs.
Abrego, the GHS art teacher, has extended the
project outside of the art classroom and put
it in the hands of teachers, literally, asking
them to help create the flock for the display
in the library. Paper and folding
instructions are available in Abrego's room.
