The Navy Junior Reserved Officers Traning Camp (NJROTC) is establishing a classroom program at Greenville High School.

Only sixty schools in Texas have an NJROTC program with six in the DFW area, Greenville High School being one of those in the metroplex.

Friday, September 18th, GHS cadets and Commander Reed participated in a visitation day with Nimitz High School in Garland.

Representing GHS were student cadets Korey Lincoln, Commander, Parker Francis, Lieutenant Commander, Zachary McClellen, Lieutenant, Norma Ramirez, Lieutenant Junior Grade, Savanna Woodman, Lieutenant, Junior Grade, Terry Hudson, Ensign and Joshua Miller, Ensign.

An in-depth story about the GHS program will follow in the Lion Ledger at a later date.

Pictured with the student cadet officers are Commander Reed and Master Sergeant Turner, classroom instructors.
